You may find that Invisalign is a great orthodontic option for you if you are looking to work toward a straighter smile but don't want to wear traditional metal braces. this is how the Invisalign system works to straighten your teeth over time.
1. Invisalign Consultation
The first step in the process will be a consultation with your Fanshawe Park Road dentists in London. Once you have completed this preliminary visit with your dentist you can begin your Invisalign journey to a straighter smile. At the time of your initial Invisalign consultation, it will be necessary for your dentist to conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and mouth in order to determine whether or not Invisalign is the best orthodontic treatment option for you.
If it has been determined that you may be a good candidate for Invisalign treatment, your dentist will be able to provide you with a preview of what your smile could potentially look like once you have completed your Invisalign treatment. If you are not a good candidate for Invisalign treatment, your dentist will tell you why and discuss any possible alternative treatment options with you.
2. Develop a unique treatment plan
Once you have concluded your consultation, your dentist will perform detailed scans and/or impressions of your teeth in order to develop a treatment plan that is unique to you. You'll receive an Invisalign treatment plan that will outline the steps of your treatment over the next few months.
3. Custom made aligners
Once your treatment plan has been finalized, the scans and/or impressions of your teeth will be sent to Invisalign's manufacturing facility, where your aligners will be custom-made to fit your specific teeth and bite requirements.
Your Invisalign clear aligners will be made of a thin flexible plastic material known as SmartTrack®, which is thin and flexible. Invisalign aligners do not contain BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten.
4. Invisalign treatment begins
Once your custom aligners have been made they will be delivered to your dentist where you can pick them up and begin your orthodontic treatment.
Your dentist will likely request that you make an appointment in order to pick up your aligners. During this appointment, your dentist will likely make sure that your aligners are properly fitted, demonstrate how to wear them and go over your treatment plan with you in detail.

A series of brief checkups will be scheduled during your treatment, which will allow your dentist to keep track of how well you're doing and ensure that your treatment stays on track.
5. Minimal changes are necessary
Invisalign is a great choice for those looking for changes to be made while managing minimal disruptions! Because your aligners are removable, you shouldn't need to make any significant changes to your diet or at-home oral hygiene routine
