“How you do anything is how you do everything” has been my approach to life and all things dentistry!

Growing up in a family of dentists, my primary focus has always been on delivering contemporary, evidence-based dental care to my patients and ensuring that patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their treatment journey.

The opportunity to work in a team environment and form lifelong relationships with people from all walks of life are what I enjoy most about dentistry.

I enjoy performing all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in Implant dentistry, wisdom teeth extractions, root canal treatment, and Invisalign/Orthodontics.

As a happily married father of a 5-year-old daughter, I have no trouble filling my time outside my practice, but when I’m away from work, I enjoy exploring new holiday destinations and creating lasting memories through travel with loved ones.

In more relaxed moments, my preferred diversions include exploring new restaurants and cafes downtown, catching up on soccer and cricket, or binge-watching new releases on TV or in the cinemas.

My greatest sense of fulfillment comes from making a difference in people’s lives, one smile at a time!

• Dr. Mao earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery, DDS graduating with distinction from Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Western Ontario.

• During his time at dental school, he was awarded the Dr. George Bedrosian Memorial Award in Restorative Dentistry and inducted into the Deans Honor List.

• Prior to dental school, he obtained his Diploma in Dental Technology from Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Melbourne, Australia, and his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Saveetha Dental College & Hospitals, India.

• An active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

• Dual licensure to practice dentistry in Canada, India, and Australia.
